God is Careful with You

“Live carefree before God; he is most careful with you.” 1 Peter 5:5-7

I’m working on being more vulnerable. It’s a very uncomfortable thing for me. I’d much prefer being guarded and hidden from others. That’s a part of why I am not very active on social media. Can I trust? Is a constant question rolling around in my brain. Put there at a very young age. I’ve believed that God was not trustworthy since I was diagnosed with diabetes at 12. Our relationship has been in the process of being repaired since then, but I can’t say that I think God is careful with me. Would you?

Peace and Thank You

I wanted to first thank you from the bottom of my heart for returning to read our blog. The words we write are from our heart and the creative side of our brain. We write because we like it and because we were each given a gift of creativity in our own unique way. I must be honest, some weeks I am completely stumped on what to write about. The Day of Love: Single or Not

With Valentine's being next week, I can't help but think about how I really feel about the American holiday it has become. I have to admit prior to Ken, Valentine's Day wasn't a fun day for me. I always thought it was so stupid to have a day of love and the fact that there was even a need for a day where husbands and boyfriends were expected to step up and express their love OR ELSE. I remember rolling my eyes every time I passed the red and pink aisles at CVS or Target. Here's the truth, I was single so I wasn't feeling loved by chocolate or flowers or a boy's Valentine card. I am pretty sure I have a journal entry on it somewhere, but I am already running late getting this post out so I didn't go dig it up.
