Andrew and I are well in the throws wedding season about now. We have about 6 weddings on the docket for 2018. I feel like we’ve officially entered the second wave of weddings. You know how right after college there’s a ton of weddings for all the college sweethearts? In my apartment of six girls we tallied up how many engaged couples we knew my senior year. I kid you not, we got to over SIXTY COUPLES! Then, the weddings quieted down for a few years while people moved around and got situated into adulthood. Now that we’ve been out 5 or 6 years, another wave is coming.
What to wear to a wedding is always a question of mine. I want to look pretty, but not too sexy. And I always want to wear something I can dance in. I have finally found my perfect wedding guest dress! It’s already attended two weddings with me and girl, it’s not slowing down anytime soon. So, don’t be confused if I’m wearing the same dress in a lot of different wedding photos. Nope, it’s not the same wedding. Yes, it is the same dress. It’s a super lightweight, printed maxi dress from Free People. High neckline, low back, so not overly sexy. And it’s a dream to dance in. They don’t have my color online anymore, but they do have some gorgeous other colors in the same design. I love this look because the length can be either causal or dressy depending on accessories. For a dressier event, I’d wear low heals and larger earrings. If I wanted to dress it down, I’d keep the jewelry more delicate and throw on some sandals. Because it’s backless, I wear pasties instead of a bra and they work like a charm. It is a little over $100, but for a dress you will want wear over and over I think it’s worth the money.
If you are looking for a dress to wear to some weddings you have coming up, might I suggest this? Maybe we can be twins and take a picture together? I know I’d love it.
